Terms of Service

Last updated: September 27, 2026

These terms govern your use of onStart (“we”, “us”), including onstart.app and the sites you publish with it. By using onStart you agree to them.

1. The service

onStart lets you build and publish websites for your apps: a landing page, privacy policy, terms and support page, on an onstart.page address or your own domain. Building, editing and previewing are free. Publishing sites, connecting domains and downloading sites as HTML need a paid plan.

2. Your account

You sign in with a Google account and are responsible for what happens under it. Keep your account secure and tell us promptly at hello@onstart.app if you think it has been misused.

3. Plans and payment

  • Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the merchant of record for all orders and handles payments, taxes and invoices.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time from the Billing page. Your plan and your published sites stay active until the end of the period you paid for; after that, published sites go offline.
  • Refunds follow our Refund Policy.
  • We may change prices for future periods and will tell you before a change applies to you.

4. Your content

You keep all rights to the content you add and publish. You give us permission to host, copy and display it only as needed to run the service. You are responsible for your content and for making sure you have the right to use it.

5. Generated legal documents

Legal Setup writes a privacy policy and terms from your answers. They are templates to help you, not legal advice. You are responsible for checking that they are accurate and complete for your app and for keeping them up to date.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use onStart to publish or distribute:

  • phishing, scams, malware or pages that imitate another company or person
  • content that is illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights
  • spam, or content promoting apps you do not own or represent

We may remove content, take sites offline or suspend accounts that break these rules, without notice where needed to protect others.

7. Custom domains

Only connect domains you own or are allowed to use. When you remove a domain from onStart, also remove the DNS records you added for it.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep onStart available and fast, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error free. We may improve or change features over time.

9. Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time in Settings, which deletes your projects and takes your sites offline. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms.

10. Disclaimers and liability

onStart is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including an app being rejected or removed from a store, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date above, and tell you about significant changes by email or in the app before they take effect.
